After spending a week in paradise, I’m officially back to Southern Hemisphere winter. While the temperatures may have dropped significantly, I’m still keeping that summer spirit alive by way of my wardrobe. Whether you’re lucky enough to be based in the Northern Hempishere over the summer months, or like me, you’re living for those tropical trips away, here is my edit of go-to brands for those perfect warm-weather dresses.
The Linen Dress
No one does linen quite like Reformation. I’m borderline obsessed with their imagery (and EDMs, whoever is writing these is hilarious and I want to be friends) and find myself on their site most weeks to check the latest arrivals. You have to be quick when it comes to Ref, as things tend to sell out pretty quickly. So much so that I actually purchased both of these before I had any concrete travel plans (oops!) but I’ll be taking them anywhere the temperature allows.
The Printed Dress
It wouldn’t be a summer holiday without a little printed dress! These are three of my go-to brands for the perfect getaway wardrobe.
Faithfull – I can always rely on Faithfull for easy to wear basics, perfect stripes and subtle yet unique prints.
Posse – Your Frenchie wardrobe prayers are answered, opt for gingham or polka dots for that Riviera vibe.
Realisation Par – It started with that star print dress, and now there are lots of fun statement styles to choose from. This daisy dress was my second purchase, and I love it just as much as the first.
Rouje – Jeanne Damas can do no wrong, just be prepared to stalk the site for occasional size replenishments, as currently almost everything is sold out. Not to self to get in earlier next time!
The White Dress
A summer staple if ever there was one… White does wonders to make you look more tan too!
Apiece Apart – Since I discovered this New York label, I just can’t get enough! It’s easy, wearable and stylish – pretty much everything I look for when it comes to resort wear.
Spell & The Gypsy – Spell are definitely known for their signature prints, colours and effortless bohemian styles. But I have to say they make a beautiful white dress too. I have three Picnic at Hanging Rock style numbers that I rotate when on holiday.
Sir The Label – I have been a fan of SIR since their early days… Starting with key pieces in lovely linens and cottons, they have expanded into prints, leathers and knitwear. My first piece from them with a white dress, and I love their new white embroidery pieces for summer.
