It’s officially Summer and the last thing we want to have to worry about is a breakout, redness or irritation on our face, disrupting our vacations, and causing stress when all we want to do is relax. And since it’s harder to find the right products when you have combination skin as oppose to any other kind, we felt compelled to put together a quick list of our favorite products that provide a quick fix and help to maintain a beautiful complexion no matter how sensitive, complex or acne-prone your skin tends to be.
Cle de Peau Gentle Cleansing Milk – A pro at melting away makeup and build-up from the day, this milky cleanser is massaged directly onto dry skin with dry hands then simply rinsed or wiped off with a towel leaving the skin smooth and clean without drying it out.
make p:rem Black Cleansing Water – Hydrating yet ultra-cleansing, this Black Peat Moss Water based solution will take off every last bit of makeup, buildup and oil but with the addition of natural ingredients like birch sap, apple water, and radish root it helps to brighten and plump the skin while locking in moisture.
Neutrogena Rapid Clear Spot Gel – This teensy package packs a major wallop.
Tea Tree Oil – Break this out for the heavy duty stuff. Pure tea-tree oil has amazing qualities that not only shrink up even the largest blemish but helps to reduce (if not remove entirely) any redness around the blemish leaving it less noticable as fast as overnight. Just dab a q-tip into the oil and then quickly run some water over the same end of the qtip (this helps to dilute the solution) or it can be mixed with oil which S.W. Basics has already done for you in their spot treatment roller.
Dior Hydra Face Pores Away Mask – You can actually watch this clay mask as it fills in each of your pores and in only 3-minutes you simply wash it away. Just apply and let it go to work, deeply purifying the skin, minimizing the appearance of pores and matifying the skin right before your very eyes.
Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains – These teensy little pebbles gently exfoliate your skin, taking off all of the dead skin cells without leaving you dry, red or irritated. We like to use them once to twice a week (depending on how often your skin requires exfoliation) at the end of the day before bed. It’s also a great way to make sure you got every last bit of makeup off your skin!
