Good morning from sunny Sydney! At the moment, I’m actually back in the Northern Hemisphere for an exciting work trip, but I can’t help but appreciate just how much I love home. Particularly while I’m away, I realise just how much I love Australia and the diversity in scenery, food and landscape that Sydney has to offer.
To celebrate the launch of the Karen Millen white shirt campaign, I teamed up with them to take my four shirts to a few of my favourite places, during a day out and about in Sydney.
Those picturesque terrace houses make this one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Sydney. It’s also home to an overwhelming amount of great cafes and shops! For my morning coffee run (and maybe a delicious Italian pastry), I swing by Alimentari, and for client meetings and catchups, I pull up a chair at Jackie’s or Gusto.
2. Potts Point
Another beautiful suburb, with a cool European feel and a lot of happening cafes, restaurants and bars. For a light breakfast, head to Room 10 in Lankelley Place where you’ll want to try everything on the menu. For lunch or dinner, The Apollo, Fratelli, Cho Cho San and Bistro Rex are all favourites, just try to choose!
It wouldn’t be a sunny day at home without a visit to the beach. We popped down to Clovelly for an afternoon stroll by the water, and, if I’m in the mood for a workout, I love to do the full coastal walk (Bondi to Coogee beach), which is 6km of scenic ocean bliss. If you finish up in Bondi and are in the mood for dinner or drinks, Icebergs overlooking the Bondi baths is a local icon.
4. Finger Wharf and Walsh Bay
Anything on the water is always going to be good! Finger Wharf in Woolloomooloo houses a variety of fine dining restaurants, and a bar and hotel inside, The Ovolo, which is a great venue for after hour cocktails. For dinner, my favourites are Otto and China Doll.
