Michael van Gerwen will start his defence of the bet365 US Darts Masters towards American star Danny Lauby on Friday, with the draw and schedule for this weekend’s World Collection of Darts occasion in New York now confirmed.
Following occasions in Bahrain and Den Bosch in January, the World Collection resumes on Could 31-June 1 in The Theater at Madison Sq. Backyard, as 16 gamers battle it out for the £20,000 prime prize within the Massive Apple.
Friday’s first spherical on the iconic venue will see eight PDC superstars tackle eight North American representatives for a spot in Saturday’s remaining phases, with reigning champion Van Gerwen among the many headline sights.
Prime seed Van Gerwen – a winner on the Dutch Darts Masters earlier this 12 months – kicks off his marketing campaign towards two-time World Championship qualifier Lauby, who secured his PDC Tour Card at Qualifying College again in January.
